After School Garden Club Goes Experiential!

Lincoln K-8’s After School Garden Club seeks volunteers in Corvallis, OR. As a 4H Wildlife Steward School we have access to 4H resources of which there are many.

Do you like to work with kids? Can you share time to work with a 3rd – 5th grader?
We are looking for enthusiastic mentors to help the garden club maintain the school garden while learning life skills (planning, organizing, self-esteem, group work, communication, reading, writing, math, etc). We aspire to use the experiential learning model where kids lead their own learning and thus mentors will be working with one or two students at a time. We also hope that mentors will contribute to the overall project in whatever way inspires them (e.g. designing group activities, contributing garden design ideas, etc).

Location: Lincoln K-8 School 110 SE Alexander Ave (on SE 3rd st).
Date/Time: Mondays and Wednesday 4-5pm.
Starts: March 29th through June 9th.
